England-Prior to SAS
We were in England for a total of 6 days. The first three days we stayed with my dad’s side of the family. We stayed with my dad’s cousin, Georgie in her lovely home just outside of Bath. Those days were all about relaxation—lazy mornings with no agenda and we had delicious food the whole time. It was lovely to see her and the rest of the family. I’m really hoping they can visit us in Colorado soon!
Outdoor bathtub that was a very lovely addition to my morning!
After those three days we took a train into London to meet up with my cousin Michael. They greeted us at the station, and we made our way to our unique accommodation—a long houseboat in Little Venice. My mom—the planner she is—booked all the places we are staying and she loves the more unique fun places, and I do too! Anyway, we went out that night to see one of Michael’s friend perform at a bar and it was a fantastic show. And this was after getting some delicious gluten free fish and chips—had to have it once—of course.
The next day we all took a train to Kent to visit my dad’s cousins on his father’s side of the family and had a lovely afternoon in their garden eating a delicious lunch. That evening we visited the Vaults and then had sourdough pizza!
The next day we met Michael near where they live and got to visit the shop they work at then did some other little things, mainly shopping and walking around. We then went to the Silver vaults—they were closed—rookie mistake to not look at the hours. That night for dinner we had yummy tacos and got to meet Michael’s other friend Ursula—what a cool name, right? Then we went back to the houseboat to have one last evening on our deck outside. Next morning, we headed off to our next destination—Girona, Spain!
Apologies for the change in format for this blog post and the photos! Going forward, I’ll be using something similar to this layout so that you can enjoy the pictures in a larger, more detailed view.
