First Week of SAS-On the Boat
First Couple Days on the ship:
It was not as hectic getting on the ship as I previously thought. It was super easy and I was the first one in my room so I got to choose my bed, closet and everything in between. I had a couple of my bags so I unpacked a little bit then went to explore the ship. Then my roommate showed up right as I was about to go eat. We met each other and then we went to eat our first lunch on the boat. I have been surprised by how delicious the food is—there that word is again—haha! Anyway, we had the afternoon to chill, explore and unpack and then had an orientation session that night. Then the next day we all had orientation stuff all day and I got ready for bed kind of early.
The first couple days of class were good! All my classes are very interesting. It's hard and a big adjustment to not have internet access 24/7—I know, Gen Z’z— but I do love the disconnect. And going back to the food, I swear they are not advocates for our health as they serve us a lot of carbs and cake that I cannot eat—and there is one small gym on the ship so I personally feel I cannot workout effectively.

Day before we debark for Portugal:
It has been stressful. I am not going to lie, but I've been getting through it. There's a lot of schoolwork and a lot going into preparing and planning for each port. Update on my bags: it is too expensive to ship them again so I will just be buying whatever I need and I have realized it is not just clothes. There's hangers, organizers, shoes, school supplies, etc. So yeah that sucks—but I will figure it out. And I guess a good lesson for the future. Currently I do not have many plans for Portugal except staying at an AirBnB with about 10 other people which should be fun but we are doing that only two of the nights. Then the rest of the time is going to be shopping basically. The weather the first couple of days was not so nice but now it is very nice and sunny a lot which I love—people are in the pool! All my classes have been good—very interesting but a ton of reading.
