Mauritius- Sixth Port

Day 1: 

I can’t get over how lucky I am to be doing all the amazing things I’ve been doing. Today was amazing. We docked in Port Louis, Mauritius and got off to do a little shopping at a nearby waterfront shopping mall. And we as in my 2 friends Pari and Brett. We then got a taxi to go to lunch at a gorgeous panoramic view restaurant on the side of the hill. I got fish and the sauce—Oh. My. Gosh. It was delicious. We then went down to a beach and swam in the water and chilled on the beach for a little bit. After that we went back to the waterfront shopping area because there is a lot of restaurants near there and we got hot pot for dinner. I was sooo full by the end of it. We walked back to the ship and had an early night.














Day 2: 

I did a lot today! I went with a group of 4 girls on a tour to a bunch of different places on the island. I could not name them all but we saw a temple, waterfalls, craters, gorgeous views and we went zip lining! I have not been zip lining in so long and it was amazing! There were gorgeous views for Mauritius while zippin’ down the line. We got lunch at a restaurant and I had some delicious chicken curry—not as good as Nana’s back home though<3 We then looked at a gorgeous beach and drove back to Cape Town. We did some more shopping and then headed back to the boat. We showered and got ready to go back out to dinner and we went to an Italian place that was right under the hot pot place and I had a yummy salad and drinks.















Day 3: 

I woke up pretty early, and helped my roommate wake up because she almost didn’t go on her field class because she thought it was an hour later, luckily I was waking up and told her I saw that her class was now. Anyway I woke up and went on my field program that was catamraning. It was amazing. We snorkeled and tanned and got to see a gorgeous view of the island. The water here is so blue and clear. We had lunch on the boat and got to swim around after then we headed back to the boat! I love field programs because there was some people I knew and I just got to talk to and get closer to them which I’m so grateful for.

Day 1 : Arriving in Edinburgh and Settling In After a long day of travel, we finally touched down in Edinburgh, and thankfully, everything went off without a hitch. But, as if on cue, the moment we stepped off the bus, it started raining. Classic Scotland, right? We trekked through the drizzle for about 15 minutes to our accommodation—a cozy room in an apartment right on the Royal Mile! Once we dropped our bags, we headed out for dinner at Dishoom, an Indian restaurant that came highly recommended. The food was divine! Later, we strolled along the Royal Mile, soaking in the evening vibes, and even popped into a chapel that was hosting an event for the Fringe Festival. The chapel is celebrating its 900th anniversary with an event called "900 Voices," where locals share their stories. It was a perfect introduction to the city. Hong Kong- Ninth Port

D ay 1:  I woke up for sunrise this morning and went to watch the ship pull into our port in Hong Kong. I ate breakfast on the deck and then went to get ready for the day. My friend Brett and I took an Uber to Hong Kong Island to central and we stopped to get coffee and some baked goods. Then we wandered to find our tattoo place where we went getting tattoos. We were there for 7 hours and she went to grab me some tacos. Then after we rushed to try and get back to the other side to get on a boat for a cruise and light show. But traffic was so bad we did not end up making it so we went and got dinner then walked back to the mall where the ship is docked at. We got some gelato and headed back to the ship. I got changed and headed back out with my friend Pari and a couple other girls. That was a late night because I had to help one of my friends get back to the ship safely. Hello Everyone! The countdown to my day of embarkation, September 9th, 2024 is quickly approaching and I have been repacking my bags! I am so excited and cannot quite believe this is happening. And to be honest very stressed as I will be leaving this Sunday the 18th to travel with my parents before embarkation. And that is even a sooner approaching date! As many may know, I adore traveling and that is thanks to my amazing parents who gave me the opportunity to fall in love with seeing the world by taking me traveling with them!
